........ Soup Luncheon & Choir Concert at First Congregational Church in Weeping Water: Sunday, February 1st serving soups & baked goods from noon to 4:00. Concert performances at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00. Free will donation with proceeds to help pay for the trip to Carnegie Hall in NYC! **School is in session Monday, February 2nd. No school Friday, February 6th as we host Girl's District Wrestling. Friday is a teacher's in-service. The all-school musical this year is "Bye, Bye Birdie!". There are lots of great parts available. Come see Mrs. Hammer if you are interested in being part of the cast or the crew. We have lots of opportunities to help out or to be on the stage. Rehearsal begins soon and the performances are in mid-March. SPORTS INFO: ECNC Basketball Tournament: Boys play Monday, February 2nd at Freeman vs. Freeman @ 6:00pm. ECNC Basketball Tournament: Girls play at home vs. Palmyra @ 6:00pm. FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR: Any Junior Boy that is interested in attending Boys State or Junior Girl interested in attending Girls State, this summer or just wants more information please stop in and see Mrs. Bickford. The deadline is Feb. 15th. Any Junior that is interested in attending the Nebraska Junior Law Cadet Program or would like more information please see Mrs. Bickford. A commitment to a law enforcement career is NOT required.
